The Grande Machine is my reinvention of a compositional device created by Nicolas Poussin used to explore multiple compositions for his paintings. Here it was used in conjunction with the wax figures of the ‘Extreme Unction’. Commissioned by the Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge. In collaboration with Robin Williams.
