I created this head of Rembrandt as a waxen reimagining from his painted self-portrait at age 63 which hangs in the National Gallery London. The wax head was suspended on a chain, caught by an iron talon inside a glass vitrine, and displayed in the gallery among paintings of saints and martyrs. Commissioned by the National Gallery London in collaboration with Ali Cherri for his exhibition 'If They Prick Us, Do We Not Bleed?’.
