I created this sculpture based on an MRI scan of a human skull. Two versions were cast: one in bronze and the other in pure tin sourced from the last of Dartmoor’s accessible tin mines. Both skulls were polished to a fine mirror finish and photographed submerged in the mineshafts and mires of Dartmoor. The sculpture was commissioned for the publication 'Spirit of Dartmoor’, a hand-bound, three-volume limited edition of 50.
